Radiography

After more than a century, radiographic inspection (or x-ray) is still the nondestructive testing method of choice for most projects while on the job site.

ASII operates radiographic job sites around the world, staffed with certified technicians and outfitted with the latest technical and image processing equipment to process, inspect, and certify to the highest standards a wide variety of products for power generation, oil field, petrochemical, and commercial industries.

Range of applications

ASII’s NDT technicians commonly use advanced radiographic testing methods in the field to:

*   Detect discontinuities in weld and weld overlays, castings, forgings, valves and components, machined parts, pressure vessels, structural steel, structures, boilers, power plants, etc.

*   Determine the extent of internal and external corrosion and erosion in process piping, pressure vessels, and valves.
